JGU’s focus on clearly defined research areas has proven a very successful strategy, something that can be seen in the amount of third-party funds raised for research, among other things. From 2015 to 2021 those funds increased from EUR 114 to EUR 177 million per year (plus competitively raised state funds of EUR 8 million).
